About Isaac Araya

After graduating from the Commercial College of Addis Ababa, Isaac worked in various capacities in a firm of Chartered Accountants and the Audit Services Corporation of Ethiopia. He qualified in 1982 and subsequently worked as Audit Manager for two firms of Certified Public Accountants in Kenya from 1981 to 1993. In 1994, Isaac moved to Eritrea and set up Isaac Araya and Company, now known as HLB Abraham Isaac and Company. He is responsible for delivering financial advisory services to more than 80 clients, including a number of aid development projects in the country.

His experience includes, among others:

• Auditing of major enterprises of banking, manufacturing concerns, agricultural enterprises, property companies, investment funds, schools, hotels and other tourism related organisations, marketing and supervisory boards, cooperative societies, airline, life and general insurance, oil refinery, oil distribution company,building societies, construction companies and non-governmental organizations;
• Consultancy and advisory on restructuring banks and financial institutions, sugar factories, designing and implementing accounting systems and procedures, tax
  planning, human resources development including developing tailor made training programme.
